Description
Examines basic soil and plant relationships. Soil fertility is important in considering the role that the soil plays with regard to the availability of nutrients to plants. Learners will study nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sulfur, calcium and magnesium as it relates to soil condition. Learners will practice appropriate sampling, analyzing and interpretation of soil sample results.
Condition: Accepted into the Crop Science Associate Degree program or Garden to Market Specialist Technical Diploma, or with Dean approval.
