This state approved course prepares you for the National Restaurant Association Certification examination from the Department of Health and Social Services by providing managers and employees in the food-service industry the knowledge of food-safety procedures. By taking this state approved course and passing the certification examination, you will be eligible to apply for your Certified Food Manager License from the Department of Health and Social Services. This course prepares WI LESB certified officers to effectively administer and teach the vehicle contacts training program. This course emphasizes teaching and learning techniques that promote active learning, support learners with a variety of learning preferences and needs, and generate continuous improvements in teaching and learning. The goal of this program is to prepare certified officers who are proficient in making vehicle contacts to deliver the LESB-approved vehicle contact curriculum.

Prepares the participant to be able to perform the minimum hazardous material incident operations associated with firefighting functions at an advanced nationally recognized level under general supervision. The targeted audience is individuals who have completed the training required to meet the Fire Fighter I JPRs in NFPA 1001, and desire to increase their knowledge and skills base to the next level. This course is designed to provide the Fire Fighter II candidate with the information needed to meet the operational level competencies for the hazardous material first responder as referenced in the job performance requirements (JPRs) in National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1001, Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications, Chapter 4, 4-1.1. It is based on the National Fire Academy (NFA) Initial Response to Hazardous Materials Incidents: Basic Concepts and Initial Response to Hazardous Materials Incidents: Concepts Implementation curriculums.
This class offers an exam-only option for students who feel they can successfully complete the ServSafe Manager exam without instruction. Note: Due to frequent changes in food safety regulations that are included on the exam, it is strongly recommended that students take the certification course to ensure successful completion of the exam and license renewal.
Builds on skills learned in Truck Driving 1 and 2, as students hone skills and practice to test for a Class A Commercial Driver License. This course will focus on hands-on training in advanced driving operations, backing skills, weight distribution techniques, and trip planning.
