Introduces learners to the laws, regulations and various certification levels of a Commercial Driver License (CDL). Introduces learners to the basic operation of a Class A Commercial Motor Vehicle.
Students apply skills developed in Dental and General Anatomy, Dental Health Safety, Dental Chairside, Dental Materials, Dental Radiography and Dental Assistant Professional in a clinical setting with patients. Emphasizes integration of core abilities (soft skills) and basic occupational skills. They will be able to collect diagnostic and treatment data, manage infection and hazard control, perform clinical supportive treatments (four handed dentistry, maintain instruments, etc.), take diagnostic radiographs, perform dental laboratory procedures, provide patient oral health instruction, assist in managing medical emergencies, model professional behaviors, ethics and appearance.
Provides participants with the foundational knowledge and essential skills required to effectively respond to a wide range of medical emergencies and accidents. It is specifically designed to prepare students for state certification as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) in Wisconsin, including successful preparation for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) examinations at the EMR Level. In addition to technical expertise, the course emphasizes the cultivation of professionalism, ethical conduct, and a steadfast dedication to safety within the field of emergency medical service. Graduates emerge well-equipped to meet the rigorous standards of both state and national certification as EMRs or as EMTs.
Prepares learners to perform basic nursing skills under the supervision of a nurse for job entry as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) or a home health aide (HHA) in health care agencies. Face-to-face and hybrid classroom, campus lab and clinical instruction are offered at various nursing homes and hospitals throughout the district. Students need to submit an application and complete background check.
Prepares learners in the operation of commercial motor vehicles. Extensive hands-on training will be implemented throughout the course on tractor-trailers, giving the learner the skills needed to test for a Class A Commercial Driverâs License. Limited lecture will be used to inform students of industry regulations, driver safety, inspections and communication.
The 17- hour Basic Motorcycle Rider course, including online ECourse and in person instruction, is designed for beginning riders and was developed by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF). Instructors are certified by the MSF and Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT). It is taught off-street, out of traffic, and motorcycles and helmets are provided. The course consists of 1 hour of classroom and 11 hours of on-cycle instruction. In addition there is a 5 hour ECourse that must be completed prior to class (fees for ECourse separate from course fee). The Basic Rider Course covers preparing to ride, turning, shifting and braking, street strategies, special situations, increasing riding skills, maintenance and insurance.

This course will cover topics such as clear vs sound cuttings, wood characteristics and defects, hardwood lumber manufacturing standards, species, kiln dried lumber, and hands-on lumber grading.

This 96-hour course prepares the participant to be able to perform fire fighting functions at the nationally recognized minimum levels under direct supervision. The targeted audience is individuals who desire to become Wisconsin Certified Fire Fighter I based on the requirements set by SPS 330.08, Employment standards, Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services. This course is designed to provide the Fire Fighter I candidate with the information needed to meet the job performance requirements (JPRs) defined in NFPA 1001, Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications, Current Edition, Chapters 5.2 through 5.5. The participant must also complete the Hazardous Materials Operation level course in order to meet the remainder of the NFPA Fire Fighter I JPR requirements.

Prepares the participant to be able to perform the minimum hazardous material incident operations associated with firefighting functions at an advanced nationally recognized level under general supervision. The targeted audience is individuals who have completed the training required to meet the Fire Fighter I JPRs in NFPA 1001, and desire to increase their knowledge and skills base to the next level. This course is designed to provide the Fire Fighter II candidate with the information needed to meet the operational level competencies for the hazardous material first responder as referenced in the job performance requirements (JPRs) in National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1001, Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications, Chapter 4, 4-1.1. It is based on the National Fire Academy (NFA) Initial Response to Hazardous Materials Incidents: Basic Concepts and Initial Response to Hazardous Materials Incidents: Concepts Implementation curriculums.
Kiln Drying includes: presentation on effective Kiln drying, 100 board run test, 40 board runs along with kiln drying techniques based on climate conditions.

Trains the leaner how to set-up and run CNC Milling Machines in a production setting along with programming and setting up multi-axis milling machining centers. Learners will obtain knowledge on proper set-up of multiple vises in a production situation. Learners will also learn how to set-up, program, and run multi axis milling machines.
Focuses on the operation of trucks and equipment used in electric utility construction. Students will install utility poles, and URD equipment. Basic wood pole climbing techniques will be introduced. Learners will explore the overview of an electrical power system.

Food science principles applied to professional culinary food preparations. Units include professional kitchen operation, recipe terminology, culinary math and cooking techniques for various food categories. In addition, careers in the culinary industry are explored; including professionalism, ethics and etiquette.
This intermediate level clinical course develops the RN role when working with clients with complex health care needs. A focus of the course is developing skills needed for managing multiple clients across the lifespan and priorities. Using the nursing process, students will gain experience in adapting nursing practice to meet the needs of clients with diverse needs and backgrounds.
This clinical course builds on and expands the technical/clinical skills student dental hygienists developed in Dental Hygiene Process II. In consultation with the instructor, students apply independent problem-solving skills in the course of providing comprehensive care for calculus case type I, II and III patients and case type 0, I, II and III patients. Dental Hygiene Process III introduces root detoxification using hand and ultra-sonic instruments, laser bacterial reduction, selection of dental implant prophylaxis treatment options and administration of chemotherapeutic agents. Students also adapt care plans in order to accommodate patients with special needs.
