Explores dental concepts and practices to prepare for Central Region Dental Testing Services (CRDTS) or similar board examination. Learners will practice exploring and scaling on patients. Covers extra and intra oral assessment, deposit removal, tissue management and professional conduct standards.
Examines proven strategies designed to help learners achieve greater personal, academic, and professional success. Learners will apply personal responsibility thinking and behaviors; self- management, awareness, and motivation strategies; as well as interdependence skills to develop a proactive life plan.
Introduces learners to the format and types of questions given in the math, chemistry, and anatomy & physiology portions of the HESI test. Sample questions and possible study materials will be discussed. Upon completion of the course, learners will have a greater understanding of the test. Additionally, course completion will assist in determining if learners feel ready to test, or would like to pursue additional study opportunities prior to testing.
Introduces fundamentals with NFPA Standards the student will learn how to use many of the powerful electrical drawing creation tools in the AutoCAD Electrical software. Activities include create schematic drawings (ladder logic and point to point), panel drawings, and PLC-I/O circuits using automated commands for symbol insertion, component tagging, wire numbering, and drawing modification. In addition, they are introduced to methods of customizing AutoCAD Electrical symbols, circuits, and databases.
Prepares dental auxiliary students to handle and prepare dental materials such as liners, bases, cements, amalgam, resin restorative materials, gypsum products and impression materials. They also learn to take alginate impressions on manikins and clean removable appliances. This course is aligned to serve students in the Dental Hygienist Associate Degree and Dental Assistant Technical Diploma programs.
