Explores the latest version of Autodesk's AutoCAD program as a 2D design, drafting and visualization tool. Provides learners with skill development starting at an introductory level and progressing to a level in which authentic architectural construction graphics and working drawings including annotations can be developed.
Describe the automotive service facility. Safety, the use of basic hand and power tools, and hoist training helps the prospective automobile technician work safely and efficiently.
This comprehensive training provides an introduction to tactical skills. Students will be introduced to basic SWAT topics, tactics and techniques including a historical overview of SWAT, team organization and structure, resolution of barricaded suspect situations, covert individual and team movement, searches and room clearing, chemical agents, less-lethal options, warrant service and multiple field training exercises. This is a hands-on course in which students practice tactics and techniques in the field as well as in the classroom.
Perform vehicle maintenance and repair. Focus will be on thread repair, oil change, tire rotations, and TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitor System) relearn procedures.
Diagnose and repairing electrical and electronic systems. Emphasizing their knowledge of proper diagnostic routines, learners perform and evaluate testing and repairs on lighting and body electrical accessories.
Explain design, construction and service of vehicle braking systems. Emphasis is placed on disc applications, the machining of brake rotors, hydraulic systems and components along with system maintenance.

Introduces clinical chemistry techniques and procedures for routine analysis using photometric, potentiometric and separation techniques. Topics in this course include pathophysiology and methodologies for carbohydrate, lipids, proteins, renal function and blood gas analysis. Additional topics include hepatic, cardiac markers, tumor markers, endocrine function, miscellaneous body fluids, toxicology, enzymes and electrolytes.
Presents the clinical importance of infectious diseases with emphasis upon the appropriate collection, handling and identification of clinically relevant bacteria. Disease states, modes of transmission and methods of prevention and control, including antibiotic susceptibility testing, will also be discussed.
Food science principles applied to professional culinary food preparations. Units include professional kitchen operation, recipe terminology, culinary math and cooking techniques for various food categories. In addition, careers in the culinary industry are explored; including professionalism, ethics and etiquette.
This clinical course builds on and expands the technical/clinical skills student dental hygienists developed in Dental Hygiene Process II. In consultation with the instructor, students apply independent problem-solving skills in the course of providing comprehensive care for calculus case type I, II and III patients and case type 0, I, II and III patients. Dental Hygiene Process III introduces root detoxification using hand and ultra-sonic instruments, laser bacterial reduction, selection of dental implant prophylaxis treatment options and administration of chemotherapeutic agents. Students also adapt care plans in order to accommodate patients with special needs.
Focuses on the air brake system component operation and maintenance for trucks and tractor/trailers. Learners are introduced to the fundamentals of heavy truck air brake systems and camshaft actuated foundation brake components. Students are instructed on proper maintenance inspection techniques for cam actuated air brake systems.
Explores drum and disc air operated foundation brakes, as well as heavy-duty hydraulic brakes. Provides the opportunity for learners to test and troubleshoot the entire air and hydraulic brake systems. Introduces learners to ABS systems found in trucks.
Focuses on the mechanical and electronic controls of air brake systems, including the operation and troubleshooting of ABS and Stability Control systems for trucks and tractor/trailers. Instruction expands to include the principles, operation, and service of automatic and automated transmission systems and their integration with other systems. Learners will apply diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques while interpreting compressed air, hydraulic, and electrical schematics related to braking and transmission systems.
Instructs learners on the fundamentals of heavy duty transmissions. Learners will overhaul manual and automatic shifting transmissions, troubleshoot and repair fully automatic and automatic shifting manual transmissions and read wiring and air schematics.
Expands on the principles of basic electricity and application. Wiring diagram interpretation and utilization are introduced and practiced. Learners will also begin to apply their knowledge on the battery and starting systems.
Expands on heavy-duty electronic controls with a focus on practical lab activities and applied diagnostics. Learners will develop advanced skills in vehicle communication networks, data links, and diagnostic protocols used in both conventional and electric vehicle (EV) systems. Instruction includes EV safety procedures, high-voltage component identification, and system integration concepts. Emphasis is placed on real-world troubleshooting, fault code retrieval, and safe repair practices for electronically controlled and electric vehicle systems.
Instructs learners on the latest technologies employed in heavy diesel emission reduction systems. Covers diesel emission regulations, emission reduction theory, diesel emission contributions to air quality and ethics pertaining to diesel emission system repairs. Learners will troubleshoot and repair exhaust gas recirculation systems, diesel particulate containment systems and Tier 4 exhaust aftertreatment technologies.
Builds on theory and operation principles learned in Diesel Engines 2. Examines in detail an engine's lubricating and cooling systems, as well as its internal rotating assembly. Through lab and lecture we perform diesel engine disassembly, inspection, parts evaluation and reassembly.
Discusses the importance of vehicle maintenance and inspections on commercial motor vehicles. Also introduces the techniques for performing proper maintenance and inspections.
Focuses on the DOT's criteria for performing annual inspections. Also covers record-keeping requirements, liability concerns, and offers the opportunity to earn an annual inspection certificate upon successful completion of the test.
Introduction to drivetrain maintenance procedures. Learners will perform fluid exchange services for transmission, transfer case, and differential sytems.
Perform engine mechanical diagnosis. Students will be performing compression testing, cyl leakage testing, and engine vacuum tests. Students will also perform engine oil pressure tests and, test variable valve timing systems
Diagnose engine sensors that feed data to an on-board computers. You will learn how the computer processes and then uses data to make a host of real time decisions concerning ignition, fuel delivery and emission controls.
Diagnose, service and repair of vehicle emissions systems including PCV, EGR, EVAP, Catalytic Converters and OBD II computer systems will be taught. Learners will also be trained in the use of: oscilloscopes, gas benches, scan tools and various computer self-diagnostics tools.
Diagnose, service and repair of fuel systems including TBI, MPI and DI systems. Learners will also be trained in the use of: oscilloscopes, pressure tester, scan tools and various computer self-diagnostics tools.
Covers customer installation, odor investigations, house piping codes and installation methods, commercial meter operation, pipe cutting and threading, steel main tapping and stopping, cathodic protection and testing, corrosion control, and contrasts between steel and plastic gas systems.
Introduces fastener identification and torque as it relates to equipment repairs. In the lab setting, proper torque techniques and concerns are discussed and practiced.

Perform basic tune ups and beyond basic tune-ups into the world of computer controlled ignition systems. You will learn how the computer processes and then uses sensor data to make a host of real time decisions concerning ignition controls. The use of DVOMs, scan tools, oscilloscopes, and computer self-diagnostics will be covered.
Introduces participants to the fundamentals of kiln drying lumber. The basics of determining moisture content, preparing samples and operating a dry kiln will be covered as well as an overview of different types of dry kiln equipment.
Learn how to use Adobe After Effects to create basic animation with text and shapes. We'll begin by covering the After Effects interface, creating a composition and various shapes. You'll then learn how to work with keyframes and properties to animate objects and export them to share. You'll have a chance to experiment and animate to music.

Introduces learners to the role of radiography in health care. Learners apply healthcare communication techniques. Learners are introduced to legal and ethical considerations, patient interactions and management, patient and provider safety, and pharmacology.
Prepares students for the CDL road test by teaching safe and efficient operation of manual transmission commercial trucks using proper shifting techniques, including double-clutching and progressive shifting. It supports CDL candidates and CDL holders removing a manual transmission restriction in improving vehicle control, fuel-efficient driving habits, and confidence in real-world road and yard maneuvers.
Requires medical assistant students to integrate and apply knowledge and skills from all previous medical assistant courses in actual ambulatory health care settings. Learners perform medical assistant administrative, clinical, and laboratory duties under the supervision of trained mentors to effectively transition to the role of a medical assistant. This is a supervised, unpaid, clinical experience.
Explores the hierarchy of the forest products industry structure as it relates to sawmill production facilities. Learners will examine best practices and key performance indicators and apply these concepts in a live mill environment. Topics that learners will focus on include lumber yield, grade proficiency, optimization of production flow, and downtime mitigation.
Prepares learners to perform basic nursing skills under the supervision of a nurse for job entry as a nursing assistant or a home health aide (HHA) in health care agencies. Face-to-face and hybrid classroom, campus lab and clinical instruction are offered at various nursing homes and hospitals throughout the district. Students need to submit an application and complete background check.
This intermediate level clinical course develops the RN role when working with clients with complex health care needs. A focus of the course is developing skills needed for managing multiple clients across the lifespan and priorities. Using the nursing process, students will gain experience in adapting nursing practice to meet the needs of clients with diverse needs and backgrounds.
This introductory clinical course emphasizes basic nursing skills and application of the nursing process in meeting the needs of diverse clients across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on performing basic nursing skills, the formation of nurse-client relationships, communication, data collection, documentation, and medication administration.
Introduces radiography students to the process and components of imaging. Students determine the factors that affect image quality including contrast, receptor exposure, spatial resolution and distortion.
This fourth level clinical course prepares radiography students to perform radiologic procedures on patients. The student transitions from direct to indirect supervision as competency performance increases. Students apply radiation protection and standard precautions in the production of radiographic images in a health care setting while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines. Students are encouraged to demonstrate independent judgment in the performance of clinical competencies.
This final clinical course requires students to integrate and apply all knowledge learned in previous courses to the production of high quality images in the clinical setting with minimal direct and primarily indirect supervision . Students apply radiation protection and standard precautions in the production of images in a health care setting while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines. Students are encouraged to demonstrate independent judgment in the performance of clinical competencies.
Prepare foods in a lab setting while participating in various stations that are typically found in a restaurant. Learners will establish skills in serving, cooking, and customer service.
Learn how to write a screenplay and translate it into a short fictional video. Activities include generating ideas for a short fictional film, creating a shot list, directing actors, shooting a scene, and editing a 1-2 minute video using Adobe Premiere Pro software. Participants will work in teams with the class members as their cast and crew.
Prepares learners for fundamental tire repair procedures. Emphasis on mounting and balancing tires, service and repair of tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS), basic tire leak detection methods and repairs, and basic suspension inspection procedures.
Perform vehicle preventative maintenance, and drivetrain maintenance procedures. Learners will focus on air filter, wiper blade, serpentine belt, headlamp, battery maintenance and repair.
Introduces professional lighting equipment, lighting techniques and cinema camera operation for use on studio projects. Learners will manipulate light to create a variety of effects in a diverse set of scenarios and utilize different types of cinema camera equipment, support tools and techniques for use in studio projects. Learners will examine advanced equipment, vocabulary and techniques unique to the studio environment including the use of green screen, creation of camera movement and working in a variety of crew positions to support a production.
