You could be someone’s second chance.
NMDP is coming to NTC! Stop by to ask questions, learn about blood stem cell donation and explore joining the donor registry. NMDP helps connect patients with blood cancers and other blood disorders with potential blood stem cell donors.
This event supports the “Jordy’s Mom” campaign, inspired by Abby, a mom who received a lifesaving blood stem cell transplant. Now, her story is helping bring awareness to the need for more donors so other families can have that same chance.
Wednesday, November 11, 2026 | Wausau Campus
- 10 a.m.–noon: Outside of the Advising and Transfer Center, near the Campus Café
- Noon–2 p.m.: Center for Health Sciences Lobby
What does joining involve?
Eligible adults ages 18–35 can join the registry with a free cheek swab. NMDP representatives can explain eligibility, the donation process and the commitment involved so you can decide whether joining is right for you.
If you’re identified as a potential match in the future, NMDP will contact you about next steps.
