Computers

The library has 18 desktops available for use.  Two of those are Macs.  They have various software applications including Microsoft Office, Solid works, and TRACS.

Library computers are provided for students, faculty, staff and community patrons to enhance and support the teaching and learning needs of Northcentral Technical College. Priority use is for research and course related assignments. Viewing unacceptable or offensive materials as well as copyright abuse can result in loss of library privileges.

Laptops

The library has 18 laptops for student use in the library (2 are MacBooks).  The maximum length of time to use these laptops is four hours.  It also has 10 laptops that can be used on campus.  The maximum length of time to use these laptops is one day.

The library also has 58 laptops for student offsite use.  They may be checked out for a month or semester, and students must get a referral from an advisor in order to check one out.

57 laptops are available for staff/faculty to check out.

Mifis

The library has mifis available for student home use. They must be used ONLY to complete NTC coursework and assignments. Students need to live in an area where Cellcom service is available for the device to work.

Printing

  • New NTC students start out with a $25 printing balance.
  • Basic (black) printing and copying is 5¢ per side.
  • Color printing and copying is 25¢ per side.

Scanning

Two scanners are available for use in the Library. There is no charge to scan documents.
