(WAUSAU, Wis.) – Northcentral Technical College (NTC) is pleased to announce the lineup of K-12 summer camps for 2026, designed to inspire and educate students across a variety of fields. These engaging programs offer hands-on experiences that foster curiosity, skill development and career exploration.

Find Your Future: Helping Careers in Medford
Description: This two-day, hands-on camp at Northcentral Technical College’s Medford Campus introduces students to impactful careers in healthcare, public safety and community services through interactive activities, games and real-world experiences. Participants explore medical skills, tackle public safety challenges, tour facilities and connect with professionals while engaging in fun team-based learning.
Date: June 3 + 4, 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Age: Students ages 12 to 15

Engineering STEAM Camp
Description: In partnership with Engineering Tomorrow and the Leigh Yawkey Art Museum, this camp immerses students in the field of engineering through hands-on instructional labs. Participants will receive cutting-edge instruction led by professional engineers.
Date: June 15 – 17, Monday + Tuesday 8 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., Wednesday 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Age: Students ages 13 to 16

Make It Real: Graphic Communications
Description: Students interested in branding and production will create their own brand and produce materials such as stickers, t-shirts and packaging. The camp offers hands-on experience with design and printing processes in NTC’s state-of-the-art lab.
Date: June 22 – 25, 9 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

Kocourek Auto Group’s Nitro-X Automotive Summer Camp
Description: Designed to introduce middle school students to transportation careers, participants will work with NTC faculty and industry professionals to prepare, paint and customize a remote-control car using materials and techniques from the collision repair industry.
Date: June 15 – 18, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Age: Students ages 12 to 14

Make It Real: Imagine, Design, Manufacture
Description: This camp offers hands-on activities in welding, machine tool and engineering as students design and build a take-home project.

Find Your Future: Veterinary Technician
Description: Animal lovers can explore the veterinary technician career by experiencing what it’s like to work in a veterinary office, learning skills necessary for providing medical and nursing care to various animal species and touring NTC’s Agriculture Center of Excellence.

Find Your Future: Healthcare
Description: This immersive, one-day camp allows students to explore various healthcare careers through hands-on activities, covering fields such as surgical technology, radiology, respiratory therapy and phlebotomy.

Find Your Future: Sports + Recreation Camp
Description: This four-day camp introduces students to exciting careers in sports and recreation through hands-on activities, field trips and interactions with industry professionals. Participants explore how sports programs and events are managed while building their own recreation program to showcase what they’ve learned.

Find Your Future: Presidential Leadership Camp
Description: This prestigious camp focuses on developing leadership skills through fun, hands-on activities related to career exploration, community service and immersion in the college environment.
Date: July 7 – 9, Tuesday + Thursday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Wednesday 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Description: This one-day, hands-on camp introduces students to the fundamentals of welding, including safety practices and basic techniques. Participants will build a project to take home while exploring careers in the skilled trades.

Find Your Fit: LEGO Mindstorms
Description: This hands-on camp introduces students to robotics by designing, building and programming their own robots to complete fun challenges. Participants develop problem-solving, teamwork and logical thinking skills while exploring how technology works in an engaging, beginner-friendly environment.
Date: July 20 – 23, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Age: Students ages 10 to 12

Find Your Future: Python Code Academy
Description: This hands-on academy introduces students to coding and software development through building interactive programs and solving real-world problems. Participants explore how programming connects to careers in technology, data, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence while developing logical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
