The Full-Time Equivalency (FTE) Dashboard provides an overview of student enrollment trends at Northcentral Technical College (NTC), focusing on FTE, unduplicated headcount, and duplicated headcount across the five most recent academic years (2021–2025), as well as a “Point in Time” (PIT) comparison for the current academic year (2026). Weekly snapshots are captured each Tuesday morning and compared to the corresponding Tuesday in prior years to monitor real-time enrollment dynamics.
This tool supports institutional decision-making by revealing underlying patterns in course-taking behavior and instructional load, particularly as they relate to resource allocation, scheduling efficiency, and faculty planning. By translating student enrollment into standardized FTE values, the dashboard offers a refined perspective on actual instructional demand that complements traditional headcount measures.
While the dashboard emphasizes aggregated FTE trends at the college, school, and program levels, it also enables users to explore temporal shifts in enrollment intensity. These trends are especially valuable for assessing program sustainability, detecting shifts in student engagement, and informing long-range academic and operational planning.
Unlike other institutional dashboards, the FTE Dashboard is not accessible to all NTC faculty and staff. Access is limited to specific individuals identified by the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Enrollment Management. If you believe you should be granted access, please contact your respective ELT member. Upon approval, forward the request to Institutional.Research@ntc.edu to be added to the access list. For those without direct access, a monthly summary including comparison data and contextual analysis will be communicated to all faculty and staff via the NTC intranet.
For more information, refer to the forthcoming FTE Dashboard Manual or explore the training videos available on the main NTC Dashboards page. These resources offer guidance on interpreting key metrics and navigating the dashboard interface.
