The Basic Wood Manufacturing Certificate provides basic skills for people entering the wood manufacturing fields. n this certificate skills emphasized will be the identification, inspection and scaling of lumber and logs, the machining and physical properties of wood, the manufacturing processes and methods found in the forest products industry, as well as two-dimensional drafting. This certificate will also incorporate an environmental component focusing on the elimination of waste and recycling. The Basic Wood Manufacturing Certificate is only available at the Antigo Campus.
Courses for this program may be available at a variety of campus locations through multiple modes of delivery if you meet the admission requirements and prerequisites.

The Basic Wood Manufacturing Certificate is a 15 Credit program. The following is a typical semester breakdown of the courses within the program.
* College 101 (10-890-165) is not part of the program credit requirements but is a College Requirement for graduation that must be passed with a “C” or better.

This program is housed in the Wood Technology Center of Excellence, a one-of-a-kind, 27,000 square foot facility dedicated to preparing students for careers in the forest products and woodworking industry.
