The Wood Industry: Furniture Design and Craftsmanship Certificate provides the opportunity for learners to develop their woodworking skills to design and craft bespoke furniture. Learners develop their knowledge and skills in wood selection, preparation, joinery and assembly, develop digital plans utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD) software and tools, and showcase their skills by crafting their own furniture. This certificate fully embeds into NTC’s Wood Science Associate Degree program and earns learners 5 credits towards NTC’s Wood Technology Technical Diploma.
