Cosmetology 36 Credit Technical Diploma
Program Description
The Cosmetology Technical Diploma program includes theoretical and practical instruction to develop skills in the following areas: basic and specialty haircutting; perming, coloring, and chemical relaxing; manicuring, pedicuring, and nail enhancement application; facials, waxing, lash extensions, and makeup artistry, hair designing and styling; implements and equipment; bacteriology and sanitation; anatomy and physiology, diseases, and disorders of hair, skin and nails; barber-cosmetology chemistry; shampooing; salon operations management and state laws and rules.
Learners receive training in barbering and cosmetology, and may be licensed to practice in either area.

* College 101 (10-890-165) is not part of the program credit requirements but is a College Requirement for graduation that must be passed with a “C” or better.

NTC's Cosmetology Technical Diploma is designed to meet the State of Wisconsin's licensing criteria. However, NTC has not made a determination whether this program meets licensure requirements in states other than Wisconsin. Students who may be seeking professional licensure or certification in states other than Wisconsin should contact the appropriate licensing board in that state to verify that the NTC program meets licensure or certification requirements.
