The Culinary Assistant Embedded Technical Diploma program is designed to provide entry-level skills for employment into the food service industry. Learners will have the opportunity to practice and apply skills learned in cooking methods, baking, sanitation, menu planning, nutrition, and wait staff training. Food service workers perform many routine tasks under the direction of cooks, chefs, or food service managements. Restaurant professionals work long hours on their feet, multi-task and interact with the customer to provide an excellent dining experience. Potential occupations include: Cook, Dietary Cook, Food and Nutrition Services Assistant, Food Service Specialist and Lead Cook.
