EVOC Instructor Training - 40 Hours

This course prepares LESB certified officers to effectively administer and teach the Emergency Vehicle Operations and Control (EVOC) training program. The program follows LESB training guidelines and involves hands-on classroom presentations to be successfully completed by the instructor candidates. The goal of this program is to prepare certified officers who are proficient in driving a vehicle under emergency conditions to deliver LESB-approved EVOC curriculum. 

Handgun and Rifle (MRDS) Instructor Training - 64 Hours

June 16-19 & 23-26, 2025

This course prepares Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board (LESB) certified law enforcement officers to effectively administer and teach the handgun and rifle training program. This course emphasizes teaching and learning techniques that promote active learning, supports learners with a variety of learning preferences and needs, and generates continuous improvements. This is a comprehensive instructor training on the justification for the use of deadly force, and the function, disassembly, troubleshooting, cleaning, maintenance, loading, unloading, reloading, malfunction clears, transition procedures in handgun and the modern police rifle.

Defensive Tactics Instructor Training - 96 Hours

July 7-11, July 21-25, and July 28-29

This course prepares Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board (LESB) certified officers to effectively administer and teach the DAAT and POSC training programs.  This course emphasizes teaching and learning techniques that promote active learning, support learners with a variety of learning preferences and needs and generate continuous improvements in teaching and learning.  The goal of this program is to prepare certified officers who are proficient in using DAAT and/or POSC techniques to deliver LESB-approved curriculum.

Professional Communication Skills Instructor Training - 12 Hours

August 11-12, 2025

This class deals with developing effective communication tactics for dealing with the public, your clientele, and fellow staff members to include supervisors, peers, and subordinates, and well as other professionals.​Course Objectives: Display PCS; knowledge and comprehension, skills application and analysis ability, performance synthesis and evaluation /articulation ability in the Professional Communications Skills Curriculum.. This curriculum is endorsed by the Law Enforcement Standards Board (LESB) and is required for instructors seeking LESB certification.
