In this two-week hands-on class students will apply the proper tools and techniques to fit or sharpen band saws to maximize saw performance. Students will learn proven procedures to effectively swage, shape, and grind band saws to increase sawing accuracy. Due to the intense hands-on nature of these classes, the program is limited to 10 participants.

• Analyze tooth geometry
• Swage band saws
• Shape band saws
• Maintain swages and shapers
• Grind band saws
• Examine types of grinding wheels
• Calculate safe operating grinder speeds
• Shape and dress grinding wheels
