Panelists:
Linda Byler & Kay Rose from The Misfit Amish Board of Directors
Kay Rose is a mother, wife, and the author of two books. A survivor of child sexual abuse and domestic violence. She writes with honesty and courage, turning personal pain into stories of resilience and hope. Having also escaped an ultra-conservative Mennonite community, Kay brings a rare perspective to her work – one shaped by both hardship and hard-won freedom. Her words reach those who have felt silenced, offering strength, understanding, and the reminder that healing is possible.
Linda Beiler born and raised in the Amish community, she brings both personal resilience and professional dedication to her work. With experience as a teacher, retail manager, and now a Direct Support Professional serving individuals with disabilities, she has built a career centered on education, leadership and care. In addition to her professional roles, she is actively involved in advocacy for survivors of abuse, particularly within Amish and Plain communities, working to support and empower those impacted.
