Each course delivers comprehensive, hands-on instruction using NTC's established curriculum, ensuring participants gain the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to succeed in today's manufacturing environment.
Course Offerings
Class 1: Machine Set-Up: CNC Lathes
Introduces the learner to basic CNC Turning setup and operation. Learners begin the course understanding the control panel of a CNC Turning Machine, common tooling used in a CNC Turning Machine and program set-up sheets. From there, learners run existing programs and eventually make minor edits to produce parts to print specifications.

Class 2: Part Measurement and Inspection
Measure machined parts using basic theory and practice of mechanical inspection. Learners will experience quality control using dimensional metrology instruments.

Class 3: Intro to CNC Programming
Develop and strengthen CNC programming skills through the application of conversational programming and basic G- and M-code programming. Learners review setup procedures, work coordinate systems, machine axis information, and CNC machining concepts while emphasizing productivity, reliability, repeatability, and flexibility in a manufacturing environment.
