Alright, I applied. What’s next?
An admissions staff member will contact you to walk you through your next steps. To gain acceptance into your program of choice you’ll need to meet all admission requirements. Each program is different, but in general here are some of our additional admissions requirements:
Transcripts or Test Scores
After we process your application, some programs will require you to send us your high school transcripts or scores from any placement tests you’ve completed. The test scores you will need vary by program. Don’t worry if you haven’t completed testing, or if your scores are below our admission requirements. We have resources available to help you complete the tests or raise your scores. The best part is, we can still get you started at NTC!
Our IT programs require completion of Windows and computer concepts tests. Once we receive your application for one of our IT programs, we’ll work with you to get the tests completed.
Petitioning for Health Programs
Some of our health programs use a selective petitioning process for admission into the program. This process circumvents a wait list in favor of a competitive process. Before you can petition, you will gain pre-program acceptance and begin taking the core classes for your desired program.
Criminal Background Checks
Some of our programs require criminal background checks for placement at clinical sites or field experiences. Once you are accepted to a program that requires a background check, we will send you information about setting up your account and completing the check.
