This comprehensive training provides an introduction to tactical skills. Students will be introduced to basic SWAT topics, tactics and techniques including a historical overview of SWAT, team organization and structure, resolution of barricaded suspect situations, covert individual and team movement, searches and room clearing, chemical agents, less-lethal options, warrant service and multiple field training exercises. This course prepares students to successfully complete the ServSafe Manager exam with 2 hours of instructor led exam prep and completion of the standardized exam. The course will cover key concepts, regulations, and certification requirements. Note: Due to frequent changes in food safety regulations that are included on the exam, it is strongly recommended that students take the full certification course to ensure successful completion of the exam and license renewal.

Prepares the participant to be able to perform the minimum hazardous material incident operations associated with firefighting functions at an advanced nationally recognized level under general supervision. The targeted audience is individuals who have completed the training required to meet the Fire Fighter I JPRs in NFPA 1010, and desire to increase their knowledge and skills base to the next level. This course is designed to provide the Fire Fighter II candidate with the information needed to meet the operational level competencies for the hazardous material first responder as referenced in the job performance requirements (JPRs) in National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1010, Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications, Chapter 4, 4-1.1. It is based on the National Fire Academy (NFA) Initial Response to Hazardous Materials Incidents: Basic Concepts and Initial Response to Hazardous Materials Incidents: Concepts Implementation curriculums.
Examine hybrid systems and powertrains. The course will include: safety procedures and practices when working on hybrid components.. Learners will be testing hybrid battery assemblies, measuring high voltage circuits, safely disabling the high voltage for vehicle servicing, and dissembling hybrid drivetrains.

Project based labs will allow learners to demonstrate an understanding of digital integrated circuits including combinational logic, counter circuits and storage circuits. IET 6 expands on IET 3 and IET 5.
Introduces learners to the fundamentals of CNC milling setup and operation. The course focuses on basic familiarity with the CNC milling machine control panel, common tooling, and simple program setup sheets. Learners practice running existing programs and make very simple edits under guidance to produce parts that meet basic print specifications.
Learn how to use Adobe After Effects to create basic animation with text and shapes. We'll begin by covering the After Effects interface, creating a composition and various shapes. You'll then learn how to work with keyframes and properties to animate objects and export them to share. You'll have a chance to experiment and animate to music.
Students are invited to explore NTC's welding lab in this summer camp experience. NTC welding faculty will lead students through the skills and equipment needed for welding design. Participants will learn welding basics and create a project to take home.
During this camp our NTC welding faculty member will lead the students through hands-on activities in the areas of welding, engineering and machine tool. The students will tour a local manufacturer, hear from role models working in the industry, and create a project they can be proud of. The camp wraps up with a celebration where students can showcase what they’ve learned and created.

Nitro-X Automotive Summer Camp is designed to introduce middle school students to transportation careers. Students will work with NTC faculty, staff, and industry professionals to prepare, paint, and customize a remote-control car using the same materials and techniques used in the collision repair industry. Throughout the week, students will learn about various transportation careers through hands-on activities, field trips to dealerships and auto shops, and will prepare the car for the final race day.
This class introduces traditional Thai floor massage; a fully clothed therapy performed on a floor mat. Students will learn hands-on techniques using the hands, arms, elbows, knees, and feet to apply rhythmic leaning pressure, reflexology, acupressure, assisted stretching, breathwork, and yoga-inspired postures. This meditative modality focuses primarily on the legs while also addressing the feet, abdomen, arms, hands, face, neck, shoulders, and back. The practice promotes deep relaxation, improved flexibility, balanced energy flow, and enhanced circulation while supporting physical alignment and emotional release.
Prepares learners to perform basic nursing skills under the supervision of a nurse for job entry as a nursing assistant or a home health aide (HHA) in health care agencies. Face-to-face and hybrid classroom, campus lab and clinical instruction are offered at various nursing homes and hospitals throughout the district. Students need to submit an application and complete background check.
Explores grid sampling sizes, plant nutrient analysis, CEC, base saturation and nutrient management planning. Learners will apply classroom theory through hands-on activities such as grid sampling, plant identification and pest identification. Furthermore, learners will gain a greater understanding of plant nutrient testing and the implication of soil sampling test results. Learners will examine soil conservation practices, soil nutrition and pesticide application.
Occupational safety is important in every work environment. Designed for general industry workers, foremen, job supervisors and anyone involved in general industry, the Outreach Training Program courses are an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by the Occupational Safety Health Act (OSHA) 29 CFR 1910. When required by OSHA standards, workers must receive additional training on the specific hazards of their job. This training is recommended by OSHA. Attendees will receive an NTC certificate of completion, plus the official blue general industry wallet card issued by OSHA, to certify they successfully completed the course.
Apply machining concepts to produce parts within an assembly using precision machines. Learners will need to job plan the process in order to produce the parts in an efficient manner.
The Presidential Leadership Camp is a prestigious summer camp where students who are accepted participate in fun and engaging career exploration, leadership building, and community service activities while being immersed in the college environment.
Introductory course focused on general biological principles, cell structure and function, genetics, organ system anatomy and physiology, behavior, evolution, and ecology. May include dissection of fresh and/or preserved materials.
Examines the principles of farm crop production, including classification, growth and management of corn, soybeans, alfalfa, barley, as well as other Midwest crops. Learners will explore soil preparation, plant physiology, planting dates, planting depths and seeding rates for various types of crops. Furthermore, learners will engage in the study of plant structure identification. Different types of equipment used in planting and harvesting will be explored and discussed during the course.
This third level clinical course prepares radiography students to perform radiologic procedures on patients with varying degrees of direct and indirect supervision. Students apply radiation protection and standard precautions in the production of radiographic images in a health care setting while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines. An emphasis of the course is the demonstration of communication and critical thinking skills appropriate to the clinical setting.
Introduces Respiratory Therapy practice in the hospital setting. Includes the development of skills such as basic therapeutics, patient assessment, medical record review, safety practices, patient interaction, and communication. Emphasis is placed on promotion of evidence-based practice using established clinical practice guidelines and published research for its relevance to patient care.
Learn how to write a screenplay and translate it into a short fictional video. Activities include generating ideas for a short fictional film, creating a shot list, directing actors, shooting a scene, and editing a 1-2 minute video using Adobe Premiere Pro software. Participants will work in teams with the class members as their cast and crew.

Each participant will leave with a 1oz container of their own whipped tallow cream and a 1 oz container of coconut-based deodorant, both crafted during the class. Feel free to bring your favorite essential oils to personalize your whipped tallow cream and deodorant for a unique touch!
Learn how to make tallow soap from scratch! This hands-on class will teach participants how to use fats and lye to make an all-natural soap. Participants will leave with a pre-cured bar of tallow soap, knowledge, and recipe to start making their own soaps at home! Soap recipe includes pasture raised tallow, coconut oil, olive oil, water and lye topped with lavender buds.
This course provides youth between ages 12 to 16 with the necessary requirements to be certified for compliance under Wisconsin Act 455 to operate tractors or self-propelled machinery for their own family on public roads. This course also meets the requirements for the U.S. Department of Labor Agriculture Hazards Occupation Order for youth 14-15 years of age employed on a farm other than their family farm.
Introduces learners to the laws, regulations and various certification levels of a Commercial Driver License (CDL). Introduces learners to the basic operation of a Class A Commercial Motor Vehicle.

Extensive hands-on training will be implemented throughout the course on tractor-trailers, giving the learner the skills needed to test for a Class A Commercial Driver License. Limited lecture will be used to inform students of industry regulations, driver safety, inspections and communication.

Perform the every day medical calculations used in veterinary medicine with accuracy. Learners will perform metric conversions, calculate drug dosages and fluid rates and practice filling prescriptions.
Develop an understanding of terms and abbreviations used in the practice of veterinary medicine. Through reading, writing, and speech, learners will master combining forms as they relate to bodily structures, and word parts for the understanding and definition of medical procedures, treatments, and conditions.
This course highlights the similarities in equipment and technique between the major arc welding processes. Students complete introductory level competencies in the GMAW, SMAW, FCAW, and GTAW processes. Material preparation skills include shearing, sawing, grinding, and thermal cutting. This course is 40 hours for apprenticeship programs.
