School of Health Open House

5:00PM — 7:00PM

Choose your pathway to a rewarding career in healthcare by attending Northcentral Technical College’s (NTC) School of Health Open House on Wednesday, April 25 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Wausau campus. This event, held in NTC’s Center for Health Sciences building, is free and open to the public.

Commit to College

High school juniors, seniors and their parents are invited to attend this exclusive event designed to help students become accepted to Northcentral Technical College (NTC)! Attendees will have the opportunity to explore over 190+ program options, tour the campus and learn about ways to get help paying for college. In addition, anyone who attends can learn about Timberwolf Suites, student housing located adjacent to NTC’s Wausau campus.

Northern WI Annual Substance Abuse Conference

The Northern WI Substance Abuse conference is dedicated to bringing quality speakers who support evidence-based practices as well as culturally specific perspectives to provide ongoing education to substance abuse counselors and human services professionals. The goal is to increase the skill and knowledge of the providers in the communities within the Northern Region of Wisconsin.

Make IT Happen

Students will compete at NTC to test their information technology (IT) knowledge and skills and also learn what a career in information technology can offer in central Wisconsin.

Public Safety Day

NTC invites participants to experience emergency and non-emergency situations using real-world training scenarios and simulations.  Experience activities in firefighting, emergency medical services and criminal justice.

Training Within Industry (TWI)

Training Within Industry (TWI) consists of standardized classes addressing the essential skills needed by supervisors, team leaders and anyone leading others. The program is composed of Job Instruction, Job Relations and Job Methods, three 'primary' classes. Northcentral Technical College (NTC) is proud to offer the first class, Job Instruction (JI), in Spring 2018. JI teaches employees to quickly learn how to do a job correctly, safely and conscientiously. 

Transition to Trainer

In this workshop you will be introduced to a new set of basic tools - the tools of a job site trainer. You will explore the skills that are necessary to be an effective trainer, discover how to deliver hands-on training, and examine the process for giving useful feedback. This course is designed for those in an apprenticeship program and must be completed as part of required curriculum.
