Lean Sigma Accelerated Certificate Training

Thursdays, August 13, 2020 - June 18, 2021
This accelerated, hybrid format is designed specifically for organizations who want to implement Lean Six Sigma. In the bi-weekly 4-hour sessions, participants will use the tools of Lean and Six Sigma to identify opportunities and improve processes for a specific workplace project. This certificate consists of four courses: Lean, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma and 5S Project.

Leading Through Crisis

Todd Kuckkahn and Northcentral Technical College (NTC) are partnering to bring you a unique leadership development opportunity directly related to COVID-19. Leading Through Crisis is a virtual leadership summit through the John C. Maxwell team and will be presented by Todd Kuckkahn. Besides being a member of the NTC workforce training and professional development team, Todd is a certified speaker, coach, teacher and trainer for the John Maxwell Team and is also a Maxwell DISC trainer and consultant.

Babysitting 101

This course will prepare students to be safe, effective, and responsible baby sitters. By introducing babysitting skills for maintaining safety and health, handling emergencies, and understanding child development and caregiving techniques, this course will help learners be more capable and prepared for taking care of children.

CCAR Recovery Coach Academy

The CCAR Recovery Coach Academy© is a 4-day intensive training academy focusing on providing individuals with the skills needed to guide, mentor and support anyone who would like to enter into or sustain long-term recovery from an addiction to alcohol or other drugs. Provided in a retreat-like environment, the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy© prepares participants by helping them to actively listen, ask really good questions, and discover and manage their own stuff.

Everything DiSC for Leadership Workshop

Thursday, May 14, 2020; 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Participants of this workshop will complete the Everything DiSC Work of Leaders assessment and gain a better understanding of their personality and how it impacts their leadership style. After completing the assessment, participants will meet for a half-day workshop to discuss and better understand their results. Lead by a DiSC-certified facilitator, this session will provide practical tools and tips for leveraging your DiSC strengths as a growing leader.

Medication Assistant Training

Northcentral Technical College (NTC) is pleased to be offering Medication Assistant training at our Wausau campus. The Medication Assistant is a Certified Nursing Assistant employed in a nursing home who administers specific medications under the supervision of the nursing staff. The training program provides an opportunity for students to develop the knowledge of standard practices related to administration of medications affecting multiple body systems and meets the state requirements for certification.

Everything DiSC for Sales

Lead by a DiSC-certified facilitator, this session will provide participants with the results of their Everything DiSC Sales profile and discuss practical tools and tips for leveraging your DiSC strengths to better serve your customers and increase your sales.

OSHA 10 / 30 - General Industry

Occupational safety is important in every work environment. Designed for general industry workers, foremen, job supervisors and anyone involved in general industry, this course provides an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by the Occupational Safety Health Act (OSHA) 29 CFR 1910.

Moulder Set-Up and Knife Grinding Workshop

This hands-on workshop will teach you the step-by-step procedures for accurately setting up production moulders and properly grinding profile knives. In the classroom, time will be spent focusing on basic moulder theory and principles that impact machining quality. You will then apply the knowledge gained in the classroom through hands-on practice on industrial machines in our state-of-the-art facility.
