Provides the opportunity for students to learn about power systems and variable speed drives (VSD's). Topics include electricity, electronics, power transmissions, motor operations, AC and DC motor drives, servo and stepper drives, peripherals and communication. Apprentices will also explore closed loop control, feedback devices, and drive maintenance and the troubleshooting of VSD's. Course includes lab/shop and classroom lecture-lab hours. This course will also acquaint the apprentice with the interpretation of "Prints" (blueprints) and other engineering and manufacturing documentation. The primary focus of the course will be on the basics of prints and how they are used to convey information to technicians. Application of electrical prints from industrial settings will be studied.
Introduces accounting concepts and financial statements for sole proprietorships. Learners analyze and record routine transactions, adjusting entries, and closing entries. Learners prepare the Income Statement, Statement of Owner's Equity, and the Balance Sheet from the financial records they create for service and merchandising businesses. Covers accounting for sales, inventory, cash, and receivables.

Medical professionals who respond to cardiovascular emergencies in and out of the hospital enhance their treatment knowledge and skills through the AHA’s ACLS training courses.
Examines normal human anatomy and physiology using a body systems approach with emphasis on the interrelationships between form and function at the gross and microscopic levels of organization. Cellular metabolism and the individual components of body systems will be explored. Continued examination of homeostatic mechanisms and their relationship to fluid, electrolyte, acid-base balance and blood and integration of genetics to human reproduction and development are also included in this course.Keywords:Ad. This course teaches the paramedic learner to integrate scene and patient assessment findings with knowledge of epidemiology and pathophysiology to form a field impression. By utilizing a structured and organized assessment process with knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, life span development and changes that occur to the human body with time, the learners will learn to develop a list of differential diagnoses through clinical reasoning, along with the ability to modify the assessment as necessary to formulate a treatment plan for their patient.

Apply machining concepts to produce parts non-traditional CNC equipment. Learners will learn how to set-up, program, and produce parts on a number of multi-axis machines, both milling and turning, along with a Wire EDM machine.

Program drive parameters for a drive application. This course will teach students how to create a custom parameter group based upon drive applications. Throughout this course, the instructor will cover a range of topics from establishing communications with a PowerFlex 525 drive via a USB connection and Ethernet/IP network to test parameters of a PowerFlex 525 drive and control a drive in STUDIO 5000.

Develop a thorough understanding of the statics and mechanics principles that are of paramount importance for learners in the engineering and technical programs. Mechanics is the branch of physical science that deals with state of rest or motion under the action of forces. Mechanics is the foundation for most engineering sciences and an indispensable prerequisite to most engineering or technical courses. In this course, you will develop a thorough understanding of the statics and mechanics principles that are of paramount importance for students in the engineering and technical programs. You will then apply these mechanics principles in various assignments and projects.
Examines topics including: sustainable, efficient and universal design practices, architectural styles and elements of design, private site/plot development, sketching application and 3D modeling/visualization, state building code and local zoning adherence, as well as advanced roof, stairway, joist and beam design/layout. Develops learners' ability to design and create construction drawings for a two-story residence including: plans, sections, elevation and visualization models (2D AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Chief Architect utilized).

Topics covered include the commercial building code, cost estimating, the preparation of working drawings, specifications and other documents used to bid, construct and obtain plan approval for light commercial buildings.

Learners will create original audio documents, capturing sound with professional microphones and manipulating those sounds with professional audio editing and mixing software. Learners will learn techniques for capturing sound in studio and on-location settings, syncing sound to picture, using sound effects, creating original foley sounds, dubbing voices and narration, exporting to various audio formats, mixing music, effects, backgrounds and dialogue to create professional audio documents.

This American Red Cross Babysitting Certification course will prepare youth to be safe, effective, and responsible babysitters. The training is designed to provide universal skills in areas that every babysitter should know, including basic care for infants and children, basic First Aid, child behavior and appropriate activities, emergency protocols, and more.
Leads learner through the basic fundamentals of electric motor control. Learner will learn to recognize and draw the basic symbols and language of motor control, and how to apply these symbols into current industrial format. Learner will also learn to read ladder and wiring diagrams. Learner will be introduced to the logic used in motor control and be required to apply this logic in order to correctly interpret and troubleshoot control circuits.

The Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) - Full Session includes the orientation, two (2) timed course practices and a CPAT test. During the orientation session, we will explain the testing process and how the equipment works. You will have the chance to ask questions and try the testing equipment. The pass rate of those who attend the orientations is higher than for those who do not, so it is highly recommended that you attend at least one of these orientations. The two practice tests are the same and we attempt to run the practice test under actual testing conditions. If the test is run under actual testing conditions and you successfully complete the test this is considered a PASS and you will not need to attend any further testing.
