Examines plant morphology, growth and development, and plant lifecycles and reproduction. This course analyzes the effects of external and environmental factors on plant growth and productivity. Laboratory activities include examining and identifying plant cells and plant structures using microscopes, plant models and live plants. Plant structures and their functions are discussed in relevance to production practices. Learners will conduct a plant-based research project using the Scientific Method.
