In the spring of 2023, a group of friends asked Rhonda Bravick, a supervising clinical hygienist at Northcentral Technical College (NTC), to join them for a scavenger hunt. She agreed because it sounded like a fun way to spend a Saturday, unaware at the time of the profound impact it would have on her life.

Beauty and art may not be the first words that come to mind when thinking about welding, generally seen as an industrial field. But students from Northcentral Technical College’s (NTC) Alternative High School recently completed a project using welding to create a stunning sculpture for the Center for the Visual Arts.

Rosa Escamilla is no stranger to hard work. This May, she will graduate with a nursing degree from Northcentral Technical College (NTC) as the program’s Outstanding Graduate. Her path to this point was filled with twists and turns along the way.

Savana Mata has been interested in the dairy industry since she was a child, but growing up in Santa Barbara, California, she didn’t have much exposure to it growing up. That all changed when she came to Northcentral Technical College. 

Ever wondered what happens after you give a blood sample or a swab at the doctor's office? That's where medical laboratory technicians step in. Medical laboratory technicians perform clinical laboratory tests to help determine a diagnosis. 

Having compassion and empathy for patients is an important part of being a nurse, but it can be challenging for someone to understand circumstances they’ve never been through. To help NTC’s nursing students understand the daily struggles of families living in poverty, they participated in a Community Action Poverty Simulation in early April.
