2023–24 Curriculum

First Term (180 Hours)

AUTO COLLISION BASICS 72 Hours#32-405-328

Provides learners with an overall introduction to the Auto Collision environment. Learners explore safety, shop layouts & equipment, career paths, vehicle inspection, damage reporting, disassembly/assembly, repair estimates, and basic repairs. Successful learners will also demonstrate professionalism and high quality communication in the body shop environment.

INTERMEDIATE AUTO COLLISION 108 Hours#32-405-329

Develops learner understanding in intermediate Auto Collision processes by building on prior skills and knowledge introduced in Auto Collision Basics. Learners will be introduced to four more advanced auto body areas: welded panels, frame damage, auto glass, and advanced refinishing techniques.

Second Term (72 Hours)

AUTO COLLISION CAPSTONE 72 Hours#32-405-330

Provides learners with the opportunity to complete a capstone project that utilizing their knowledge and experiences to date. Learners will complete a group project or an individual project, with the goal of providing a variety of auto collision experiences. This class features a significant amount of independent time for learners to apply the knowledge and skills they have developed through the program and will allow learners to experience what it is like to complete collision repair projects in a “real world” setting.
