Admission to core classes in the Veterinary Technician Associate Degree is based on application date and successful completion of academic preparedness requirements.
Academic Preparedness Admission Requirements
To be eligible for a spot in the core program, students must be enrolled in* or have successfully completed the following admission requirements:
- Veterinary Medical Terminology with a grade of “C” or better
- Principles of Animal Biology with a grade of “C” or better
- Veterinary Medical Calculations with a grade of “C” or better
NTC admissions staff will evaluate all pre-veterinary technician students to determine who has their academic preparedness admission requirements in progress or completed starting on the following dates:
- November 1, 2025 for Spring 2026 program start
- June 1, 2026 for Fall 2026 program start
Waitlist Information
NTC must comply with a waitlist policy when an academic program meets capacity and cannot continue to admit students for the particular term. This policy adheres to Wisconsin Administrative Code Chapter TCS 10.
